Jairo Barreto

Jairo J Barreto, Student and IT Technician

Jairo is currently working for the San Mateo Community College District as an IT Technician II. I have been working in the IT department for SMCCD for almost 8 years. I spent six years working at College of San Mateo, and more than two years working at Skyline College. I had the privilege to work and implement technology projects on all three campuses; College of San Mateo/Coastside, Canada, and Skyline College. I also attend school to at San Francisco State University where I am currently studying Business Administration Management.

Danilo Campos

Danilo Campos, iOS Developer

Danilo spent his childhood studying computer interfaces and watching Star Trek. In college, he learned to write software via Second Life, where he designed robot avatars and the platform's first fully-interactive HUD UI. He's been building apps for iOS from the beginning and ran Hipmunk's mobile efforts before joining Level, a financial services startup.

Wendy Fong, UI/UX Designer

Wendy Fong is a San Francisco-based visual designer and educator. She often works with non-profits to provide sustainable solutions in areas of content strategy, user experience and design concepts. She is the co-founder of SF POPOS, an app that highlights off the beaten track, urban spaces. A big fan of hackathons, Wendy has created winning apps for Everyone Hacks and DiscoverSF. She is an instructor of Design at City College of San Francisco.

Hamid Mahmoodi

Hamid Mahmoodi, Associate Professor of Computer Engineering

Hamid Mahmoodi received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1998 and the M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2000. He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in 2005. He is currently an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering in the School of Engineering at San Francisco State University. His research interests include low-power, reliable, and high-performance circuit design for nano-scale technologies. He has many publications in journals and conferences and 5 U.S. patents. He was a recipient of the 2008 SRC Inventor Recognition Award, the 2006 IEEE Circuits and Systems Society VLSI Transactions Best Paper Award, 2005 SRC Technical Excellence Award, and the Best Paper Award of the 2004 International Conference on Computer Design. He is a technical program committee member of International Symposium on Low Power Electronics Design and International Symposium on Quality Electronics Design.

Wiebke Mueller

Wiebke Mueller, Web Accessibility Consultant

Wiebke (Veebka) Mueller works as a Web Accessibility Consultant at San Francisco State University. She holds a Master degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a certificate in Multimedia design.

She worked before at the University of Bremen where she evaluated the effectiveness of different eLeaning scenarios.She became involved with web accessibility in 2003 when she developed test criteria on the first “Contest of Accessible Websites” in German-speaking countries.
